Calgary, AB --- May 2, 2002 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the SMART LightRaise projector mount, an innovative product that simplifies installing and using a projector in classrooms and meeting rooms. The projector mount includes a telescoping projector boom and multimedia console that attach to the wall, maximizing available floor space while keeping equipment secure yet accessible. 560 and 580 interactive whiteboards, the patent-pending LightRaise projector mount creates a functional collaboration and presentation environment.
The LightRaise projector mount incorporates a projector and computer into an easy-to-use multimedia system. The projector boom mounts to the wall above the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and can be raised or lowered for easy access to the projector. It has a sleek, streamlined appearance and includes a cable-management system, effectively hiding all projector cables.
Mounting below the board, the multimedia console holds both a computer and a VCR or DVD player and includes cabling for a guest laptop. It features two speakers and an integrated control panel that includes projector on/off buttons, volume control and source-selection buttons for the internal computer, laptop and VCR or DVD player. The SMART X-Port 20 multimedia switch within the console changes input sources among the three devices.
